Re: Moto G6 Audio volume automatically lowers./Speaker & Incoming Ringer very low volume

I had this problem mainly on my older moto G3, however this still occasionally occurs on the G6. This is a hardware issue that is pretty easy to fix: remove the case from your phone (if you have one) and bend the phone slightly (one end of screen to other). After bending the sound should be better

Re: Moto g6 audio quality degraded after Android 9 update

2019-04-04, 9:20 AM

Updated to Pie last night and playing music this morning via Bluetooth to my Harman Kardon Onyx speaker and the sound is dreadful, it's muffled really badly, there's no clarity at all. Just tried it with my JBL charge and it's not as bad but there's a definite lack of clarity that wasn't there before.

** Also with multiple speakers you could click on the word "Bluetooth" on the drop down menu and you could choose your speaker, now it just just toggles the Bluetooth off or on, as does pressing the Bluetooth icon so there's no way now of switching between speakers

Aarrgghhh !!!!!

After Pie update phone loudspeaker quality dramatically degrated.

Moto g phones were grater than other brands exactly with the great loudspeaker quality.

MOTO, PLEASE RESOOLVE THE PROBLEM.

My Moto g6 speakers were perfect before the update.

Now, after the update, the sound quality is now very poor.

I can barely hear the ringtone.

Hi Abhishek_Gakhar,

Thanks for reporting, this is strange. Is this just the ringtone? Have you tested with the music files—if yes, how does that go? Just to better understand—is the volume low to be heard? Could you help us with a small video showing what you see/hear? We would like to take a look.

Do let us know if you have any questions?

Regards,

Swaraj

I have the same problem. My Moto 6 was working perfectly until last night when I upgraded it to Android 9.

Lenovo/Motorola, in few words: is like you used to listen to the Google Play Music in THX, but after the update, you now listen to the same music in AM Radio!... That bad is how the sound was degraded!

Have you tried playing music now using Dolby, it's unbelievably awful, so unlistenable you just can't use it at all. I can't believe anyone at Motorola/Lenovo hasn't got a test phone and tried listening to music since the update. Customer service at it's absolute worst. I've bought several Motorola phones over the years but I don't think my next one will be, they treat their customer like $hit

Posting this in every relevant thread because I'm sick of it

I take back my previous post about this not being the end of the world because third party EQ apps can fix it after you disable Dolby Audio.

Turns out android eq is a bit of a mess in general and other apps only work for some music players or don't notice when audio  starts playing so don't always turn on etc etc.

The real issue here is that a phone I bought which had much too loud minimum volume our the box, had the only way to turn it down removed for no reason.

Since Pie update I cannot listen to podcasts on my phone as I go to sleep, it is too loud.

I was sitting round the patio table with my family to other day, and I tried to watch a video on my phone without disturbing them too much. The audio was too loud - OUTSIDE

And let's be honest, because we all know this is one of the big ones. My phone is so loud now I can't watch porn without my.houssemates hearing through the walls.

We really need the option back to adjust Dolby for loudspeaker. This phone is currently unusable
