Just a head up on clearing cache and data, here's the path:
Settings>Apps & Notifications>App Info>Phone>Storage. You will then see 2 buttons for clearing cache, and one for clearing data

Re: No incoming call screen

Found another solution. When you hear incoming call with no icon to answer ... go to phone icon with call history, just touch any previous call like you're gonna call that number (touch phone icon next to any previous call). Incoming call icon to answer/decline pops up and you can 'answer'. Initial attempted call will display 'call failed', press ok. Meantime, you are able to answer incomin call.

I've tried the other suggested in previous comments to no avail.

My suggestion is working for me.

I make it a habit to clear app cache each day using a free app called Total Security that uses very little resources or data. I also go through each app every few days to empty cache from apps that Total Security may have missed. This, along with turning off automatic system updates and NOT installing the Pie 9 update helps keep my G6 and G7 Play running smoothly.

Disappeared yesterday after a call. Subsequent calls could not be answered. Have Moto g6+ with Pie. Tried old tips: restart, safe restart, clearing cache of phone app ... doesn't help. Very annoying. Suspicious of apps that compete for phone service. Saw a note about call screen update for Pixel1. Is that a clue? My phone is crippled.

Hi Gaggastabben,

Sorry to know about this and thanks for posting! Please make sure your notifications for incoming calls are enabled-- go to Settings > Apps & notifications > tap on Phone > Notifications > enable. Also, I would suggest you reset your app preferences and check. Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Suman
