Phone encryption

2018-06-02, 13:38 PM

Is there a way to turn off encryption on boot? I don't need an encrypted phone. I'm not worried about security because I don't do anything that would require any of my devices to be encrypted. TBH I already unlocked my bootloader and am just waiting for a root and custom rom but until then I'd like to know the official way if there is way.

Re: Phone encryption

So you have no contacts on your phone?  People who wouldn't want their names, numbers, addresses, birthdays, etc. in the hands of the bad guys? Never made a purchase on the phone?  All your browsing is on a VPN?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but I just want to make sure you've considered everything.  Besides, at least in Nougat, encryption isn't an option...it's just an unchangeable option in the settings.

Just want to be sure you know we can't discuss modded phones in here.  And you probably have no warranty as well.  Sorry.
