lenovo moderators, now that the moto g6 RETUS july 1, 2018 security patch is on customer phones there should be an official lenovo document stating such.

here is an example of what i am looking for:

https://motorola-global-en-roe.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/131163

lenovo moderators, provide a web link to the moto g6 RETUS july 1, 2018 maintenance release notes.

Re: I haven't gotten a single security update on my G6

the root problem that started this thread remains unchanged.

lenovo promised moto g6 security patches every 60-90 days.

today is september 3, 2018 and my moto g6 RETUS remains on the march 1, 2018 security patch.

march 1, 2018 is 186 days ago.

lenovo moderators, as requested numerous times before, for customers who already purchased the moto g6 based on lenovo's now failed "every 60-90 days" patch commitment, who should they contact at lenovo to get their money back?

Just hope it's actual UPDATE and Lenovo isn't trolling by just giving a notification [Just something to download] and wasting our internet :-)

Security updates

2018-09-30, 9:29 AM

Hey all.

I own a Motoroala Moto G6 and am equally frustruated by the lack of security updates and updates not being pushed on time(60-90 Days)

I get that you need time to test out for bugs and all but a security patch is not going to break anything badly or kill the device. After all it is just a security patch that improves the security of the device and not Android Version or Feautres.

Also, Moto do you even remeber that the G6 and G6 Plus are Android Enterprise Recommended Smartphone? Go check out the requirements of Android Enterprise Smartphones. https://www.android.com/intl/en_in/enterprise/recommended/]Android

Android Enterprise programs requires the device manufacture to release security updates "ON TIME" every 60-90 for 3 Years. I don think we will get the september update patch by December, Forget Android 9 Pie.

Also 3 Years of security updates. We will get only one major update with very poor support of security updates. Likely 3 major version of android versions will be available in the next 3 years...:smileysad:

If you don't consider pushing out update faster, Google might find out and these devices may no longer be recommended by Android Enterprise.

Thanks.
