Time & weather widget colour

2020-01-22, 9:34 AM

On my Moto G6 Play, the Time & Weather widget on my homescreen suddenly changed colour from white to dark greyish-blue. I can't change it back. I have my theme set to light, tried rebooting device, deleting the widget, clearing Time & Weather data, nothing helps. The only thing I changed recently was clearing the data on auto brightness but I don't think it's related. Does anyone know how to get the white colour of the widget back?

Does anyone have any ideas? I ended up sideloading Command Center app with a similar widget which looks ok, but I'd rather be using the original system app.

edit: after some trial and error, I found the solution - enabling dark mode in Display settings turned the widget back to white (?), I then re-enabled light mode and it stayed white. So must be some bug I guess. :smileysurprised:

Hi pwalk,

Glad to know it's back to white as you wanted. Thanks for reporting this, I will update about this to our concerned team.
