I intend to using NFC w/ mobile payment (e.g. Glase) with my brand new Moto G6 Plus. Very often I read that smartphone should be held so the NFC chip is near the payment system's sensor (e.g. at the gas station checkout). Otherwise the signal strength could be too low and the transaction would fail.
So I would like to know where the NFC chip is located within the Moto G6 Plus. On the back side near the top? Or in the middle?

In regards to your question, in the Moto G6 Plus, the NFC chip is located in the middle of the back part.
I hope this information is useful for you.

Please let me know if Glase works for you. I couldn't get it to work.
Not sure if we'll be able to test, as our team in the EU is rather small. We will ask.
I looked at the Glase Play Store reviews and they are not great. Others seem to be having issues as well, and there are some caveats, such as not accepting MasterCard. Have you reported the issue to the developers?
Maybe more relevant, can you use NFC for anything else? If you have access to another NFC-enabled phone maybe you can test connectivity, just to make sure the feature is working.
Let us know, and we'll see what we can learn.

I used NFC for paring some headsets. It worked without any problems.
I registered for Glase and will test it in the next days. I would prefer using Mastercard with it but debit card is okay for me too..
Wow, thanks so much Frank!

I have worked very much to locate exactly the NFC antenna area, it is located under ther Motorola logo on the back of the phone, it works very well for different NFC software, but NOT for Google Pay, paying in stores.
