Finger print scanner option missing

2019-12-14, 9:39 AM

Hi. Had my Motorola g8 plus for 2 days, loving it except the finger print unlock stopped working. It's not in the options, and I also noticed the pattern option is gone too. Tried factory reset with no luck. ...

I noticed this had happened with g7 models too and something about clearing the cache??

Any help with this would be appreciated

Hi M81,

Thanks for posting. That is a hardware error on the fingerprint sensor.   I would suggest contacting the point of sale to have it exchange.

Best regards,

Hi, the same happened to me, I already tried resetting both via option menu and from the recovery, though the problem persists. Only the fingerprint unlock option is missing.

Hi GiacomoGregori,

We would also suggest taking the phone to a service center since you have already reset the phone twice.

Best regards,
