Moto G8+ Screen Burn Issue

So , just 2 days ago I started noticing the screen burn issue on my Moto G8 plus And whhhhyyyyy again??? I had it on my Moto g4 plus as well. Literally, Motorola broke my trust. And I'm afraid that service center will ruin the phone by opening it. Do something Motorola Do SOMETHING.

Hi PCAY,

 

Thank you for posting. Having a screen burn on the display is a hardware issue and would really need to send to a service center for repair. There is no need to worry since our technicians in our official service centers are trained to fix these kinds of issues and they would need to open the phone to have the display fixed.

Last time when I went to service center for the same issue for my Moto g4 plus they opened the phone and told me it's out of warranty though it was just 10 months old. And after they opened the phone and didn't closed it properly the dust and dirt kept entering in the front camera. I went back told them to clean the dirt as I was unable to use the front camera, they cleaned it and again after 2,3 months dirt came back. I'm afraid same thing would Happen again with my 5 months old Moto G8 plus.

I have this issue too, any app that remains to much time on screen provokes screen burn effect, should I go to my retail store too and ask for warranty?

Sorry to hear what you've experienced. For now we suggest, sending it for repair to the service center. In case the same thing would happen again with your Moto G8 Plus please let us know immediately so we can provide you the next steps on what to do. 

 

@Slatanic You can also refer to the point of sale if the phone is having screen burn issues.

Hi, Is there any way I can extend my warranty coz the screen burn issue is increasing day by day and all the service centers are closed due to lockdown. I'm so disappointed. I have moto g5s plus , moto one power both of them works fine. And I had moto g4 plus which had same screen burn issue as of my new moto G8 plus. Motorola have broke my trust on them.
