After the update to Nougat, I observed battery is draining very fast
50% of battery drained in less than 7 hours overnight, when both WiFi & Mobile data are switched off & phone is in idle state. I was shocked seeing the phone swtiched off due to zero charge, which is not der earlier
I saw under Battery optimization, all apps are under "Optimizing Battery Use"

Thanks for the reply, all those are very basic solutions
All those are already applied on my mobile & still battery drained very fast just the same day after applying nougat update
If poor battery life after major update, the fastest fix is a factory reset and do NOT install restore any apps from backup. Reset, test, then manually install apps from play store one at a time and make sure no app is the problem.

I saw the battery drain phenomenon only on the first day after update.
I have two Moto Ms in my house.. both the phones got discharged overnight.
After observing for 3 days, I can confirm that battery drain issue is no longer seen
I read in some forums that after an update, the consumption will be huge for a day or so(based on size of the update)... that might be the reason

Same here. My battery also sucks heavily after nougat update.
Please help in forwarding the problem to Motorola to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
It is not unusual for battery life to be bad after major update.
I usually reset, test for a while before installing or restoring any apps, then I manually install apps from play store.
Since others say their battery life is ok, their is likely some apps that didn't like the update and nothing for Moto to fix.
