People still use this phone? I thought by now it would have died a slow terrible death!!Using a oneplus 7t these days... no more motocrap for me.

Actually, my wife still uses my old Moto X Pure, and loves the thing.  She’s visually handicapped and the longer, narrower screens aren’t to her liking.  Security isn’t a major concern since she does little more than phone calls and a little Facebook browsing.  Me, I needed to leave Android for the little-I dark side for professional reasons, but I suspect when the battery does finally go south, she‘ll be a “G” user.  The custom launchers allowing me to place her eight or ten frequent phone numbers and nothing else on her desktop pretty much make her an Android girl ... can’t do that with Apple!

As a Moto user since the 0G Droid (and before that, all the way back to hard installs in my car), I’m disappointed in the lack of software updates. But for a big part of the user base, version upgrades and small changes in the way the phone “works” are an annoyance and nowhere near as popular as they are with those of us who hang out on support sites. Lenovo made the decision that their main unit-sales drivers would be lower priced, minimal-support needs models and while that doesn’t fit MY niche, it does my wife and quite a few coworkers. Business is business. Every company needs to find a market and serve it.

Hi,

I am still using my Moto X Pure.  I have no plans to retire it.  There is no valid current replacement possible.

A replacement needs to be "Pure" (junk/ malware free).  And, bigger screen, stereo speakers, lower power consumption (or bigger battery).

Currently no one make a phone for me...

My main Lenovo Stuff:
T500, 2.8GHz, Win7 Pro, 8GB 10600 RAM, EVO-850-250GB SSD
XT1575 Motorola Android phone
My older laptop, T60p, 2.33GHz, XP, 4GB RAM, WD Black 500GB
