Re: Choppy call audio after MM upgrade w/VoLTE

Why would anyone want to mess with this and take a chance on killing something? It is smarter to simply get a refund, go somewhere else and get something that works as it is supposed to work. Just one man's opinion.....

Certainly that's an option. For me I love the phone and nothing else quite fills my needs. As long as you only change the specified settings you won't kill your phone or anything. Worst case is either calling remains the same, or gets worse. In which case you restore the original build.prop. Refunding is a good option if it works for you.

Actions such as these clearly indicate lenovo does not want to help customers with this issue. Might as well just EOL the device and move on.  I doubt there will be any resolution to this.

You are entitled to your opinion. But unlocking boot loader, rooting and voiding warranty are not helping customers. For those that want to do that, then XDA has very active forums.

Motorola has indicated that Android N may bring a fix to this problem. Users need to wait and see. This was communicated a long time ago, and those that wanted a different phone or a refund were able to get it.

I would say Motorola has done all it can to help customers. Hacking phones has never been an accepted solution or supported option.

Lenovo really wants this phone dead, doesn't it?  No updates, no fix for advertised features, and no talking about fixing it yourself.

The information is not covert. A google search will find it for you. It just isn't allowed on these forums.

And thank you, and you are welcome.

"or a refund"

I was never offered a refund, only the option to trade for an older, less equipped phone.

Many others were - they commented above.
