Factory Image for X Pure Edition Labeled WRONG

2016-09-09, 20:07 PM

So... whoever uploaded the factory image for the Pure Edition over on the Customer Help page, might want to fix the version labeled on it. It is 6.0, NOT 6.0.1. Some of our hopes were given up finding out.

Also, why are the (incomplete) instruction's font in a size for ants?

Yes, all that feedback has already been provided to Motorola. Although it says 6.0.1 - the actual build number is correct.

I don't know why the font is small, but that was reported a few days ago.

As for instructions - they are provided as a courtesy. I know that flash motoboot is not correct for all models, but what is incomplete?

For anyone who wants to re-lock, "fastboot oem lock begin" first, followed by the instructions.

Otherwise a message "Please run fastboot oem lock begin first!" upon entering "fastboot oem lock" will return in Terminal/Command Prompt. At least for me it did.

OK, but that is also a command that is dependent on the particular device and its version of system information. There is also the additional step of turning off OEM unlock in the Developer options gui

I wonder when they are going to get around to fixing this. As well as the broken link from software update page to developer resources page (typo: hhttp://...). There were a few more broken links, at least most seem fixed now. It is a little surprising to me, the lack of urgency to fix errors, test links, update the software upgrade schedule to not talk about Marshmallow like it is brand new, etc. The May security update for Moto X Pure isn't even mentioned, it just lists Feb, then July for Z.
