Micro SD Card Moto X Style

2015-09-12, 14:32 PM

I put my 32 gb Micro SD card into my new phone

I went to "settings" - "storage"  scroolled down and it'd there.

my problem is.. I don't see a simple "go to app" to located the items on that SD card that's pre installed.

1 - Am i missing something?

2 - should I go to Play Store and download my own SD organizer?

3 - what have you done? or do you think i should try?

It's new for us to be able to listen to music from our phones "last week" while we do physical line work in a warehouse and I am stuck working with "smartphone illiterate" people who love to complain when they see you looking at your phone even though we are allowed now and will just need to have the quickest possible access to MP3 files.

Any advise you have for me to consider is much appreciated!

Sorry, this is my first smart phone so I don't now how to take a screenshot. Hopefully this will make sense and help out.

If I go to Settings > Device > Storage and scroll down to the SD card there's an option called "Move media" that says "Move your pictures, movies, and music to the SD card to free internal memory. Tap it and you'll see a list of options to move over.

Hope that helps.

@UberPooch, your response was clear without the screenshot. You may be able to grab a screenshot with Power+Vol- at the same time.

Oh, and congrats! What a GREAT device to be your first smartphone.

Well done, you are going to be a very helpful addition to this forum.  My Pure is in Memphis scheduled for a Tuesday delivery.  Can't wait.  I wonder if I drove down there (from New Hampshire) the would let me rummage through their warehouse to find mine. devil

Tried that so I'm either really bad at the button timing or there may be a different way to do this.

EDIT: Confirmed it's the Power + Vol down buttons. I really suck at it though. frown

Duh! I just saw your edit.

It can be tricky but most likely requires something else.  Lots of screenshots being posted on xda and android central (mostly re battery life).

It was worth a try.

I've just searched a bit and that seems like correct info. Try to push them at the same time and hold both until you see the shot appear.

For me, it's like a 1.5 sec hold of both buttons then release.  One second seems to short, and too long you'll do a forced reboot.  So I'm thinking 1.5-2 seconds to hold both buttons down.

As of 7:01 PM it is in Londonderry NH.  Getting close.  Hopefully they will get it to the destination facility tonight and deliver tomorrow.  Looks like it got from Memphis to NH by air.  Have my 64 GB external SD card to put in it.
