What if I get soak test version for Moto X play and after updating, I don't want to be part of soak test. How I revert back to my original version. Doest it hampers my phone and if hampers who is responsible for any problem arise afterward.

you agree to be part of the individual test before updates are sent out, so if you get an email and don't want to be part of that test, just ignore it and you won't get the update. There is no Motorola supported method of downgrading

I was waiting for an e-mail with an invite to participate on Moto X Style Android 7.x (Nougat) soak test in Brazil (which seems to have started already), but that didn't happen at this time.

I don't know if it happened because of some trouble with surveymonkey or something like that.

  Best regrads,

Every soak is different. And every soak is also covered by NDA so that's all you get

I have been testint android N on my Moto X through lineage OS but i would really prefer keeping the default moto apps.

FYI there is a post on XDA where a person was selected for a soak test and after submitting the survey was rejected because their bootloader was unlocked. Not sure if it was because the bootloader was currently unlocked, or because it had been previously unlocked.

That is why they do the survey and request serial number and imei so they know whether the device is clean stock. There is 0 point in testing a new software build on a device that may have software issues outside of developer control. Also that person was selected for a survey not a soak test...... Survey is the first step in getting selected or not this is true with most companies that do soak tests of software.

Yes, perfectly legit - it's how they do testing of new software releases. On the other hand it means you will be doing testing of new software releases, so I would only respond if you're interested enough in testing to possibly have your phone be a little wonky during the testing process, and if you're willing to provide feedback. Oh - and to not talk about the testing since you have to agree to an NDA.
