Random Shut down X1575

2016-10-07, 20:35 PM

In the last few days, my XT1575 has randomly shut itself off. It is not a battery issue, as when I started the phone after the last shutdown the battery had 87% life left. When the device reaches this state, the only way I've been able to get it restart was to put it on the charger, even briefly.

Until yesterday I was running stock, but rooted. I did a factory reset, but am running an alternative ROM. Android version: 6.0.1 | Build: MPH24.107-58-1.

Do I have a hardware issue?

There's no way to tell, since your phone is modded.

Moto's policy is that the warranty is void when the phone is modded, so yours is a device we can't support here, especially since you're running an alternative ROM.

Sorry...

Really, you shouldn't have rooted it til after the warranty expired...you kinda lost the value of the warranty you paid for as part of the total purchase price of the phone by rooting it.

Separately, if you have added a microSD card to the phone, run it for a couple of days without it. Just in case it is a problem related to a slow or defective microSD. I've seen lots of errant behavior from any manufacturers Android phone with poor microSD cards.
