Recycle folder created when moving pics to SD card?

2018-08-27, 1:48 AM

Hi. I recently purchased a 128 GB Samsung EVO Select card and transferred my pictures from internal storage to the card. When I took the card out I noticed that there are 129 pictures in a folder titled "Recycled" and a path to... storage/emulated/0/Toolbox/recycle/

Can I saftely delete that folder? Is that normally created and why? Thanks for any help!

P.S. The card now has a "Pictures" folder and a separate DCIM folder with more pictures in it and a subfolder in DCIM named "Alternate"

????????????????????????

Hi BlackHawk99,

It's uncertain why this issue happened. How did you transfer the pictures- is it copy paste using a file manager or just copy move?

You can double check and see if the pictures located in the DCIM and Pictures folders are the same as the ones in the recycled folder.

If they are the same then you should be fine to delete them.

After inserting the card in the phone I transferred all of the the pictures from internal storage to the card. I did check "recycled" and they are the same so I delted it as you instructed. Thank you so much for the help!
