A week ago, I unlocked the bootloader and installed the Oreo update by my own, there's no bugs and nothing.

I'm very disappointed, how Moto can take so long to update?

In my experience, Lenovo are one of the worst companies for keeping their devices up to date. They are extremely late in pushing out security patches, usually between 6 months and 12 months.

Considering the Moto range of devices are pretty much stock Android, I don't understand why it takes them so long.

I recently spoke to one of the support people, and they kept blaming it on the carriers, and that testing need to be undertaken before releasing the updates. But that doens't make sense, because other manufacturers such as Samsung, Google and Huawei release patch updates witin weeks to only a few months.

Very frustraiting.

too late: I've just upgraded :smileysad:

so far seems to work and apparently is quicker but I know that judging it from the very early impressions is a bad idea...

I recommend you to do a factory reset after update, because many apps thinks that you still on Nougat and that can provide errors.

I noticed the very slow loading of fb application after updating to Oreo. Did anyone notice that? Erasing cache or reinstallation did not help.

After 3 days I can confirm the phone is quicker and the battery lasts more than before. But I found a bug: the gestures on fingerprint scanner sometimes stop working and there's no other way to gain control again of the phone that locking it with the key and unlocking it with the scanner again
