Re: x4 Mic issues

I am having the same issues. I just got a brand new phone. Spent a whole day going through all the updates. Then the mic downtown work. Same as everyone else, works fine on loudspeaker but not if the phone is on my ear.

I tried all the steps suggested here and in other threqds, and no luck. Safe mode, app tester, restart, reset. It works with video recording, it works know spewker, but not on normal call. It's the weirdest thing. Looks like this issue is going on for several months now. Does anyone have any suggestions besides calling support to try and exchange the phone?

I also have the same problem on my Moto X4. I have wiped and reinstalled the phone and the issue persists. Has anyone successfully resolved this problem?

Lenovo, can you assist us?

My wife and I are having mic issues on our two x4's. Sometimes cuts in and out or makes clicking sounds. Both started around the same time, which makes it seem like a software issue. Basically impossible to have a discussion without a Bluetooth or wired headset.

Front facing (calling) mic issue

2019-10-02, 9:47 AM

Hi,

I am based in Bangalore, India. My Moto X4 recently stopped picking up my voice when I'm on calls. The person on the other side always have a hard time hearing me. I went to the Moto autorised service center - ISERI Info Solutions, Indra Nagar Bangalore for getting the mic replaced. They checked the device and told me that mic is attached to the motherboard and for getting it fixed I need to change the whole motherboard which costs around 11k INR. When I asked for an email stating this, they told that they can't provide that. I highly doubt that for replacing asingle mic whole motherboard has to be replaced. Is anyone here who can confirm if the information provided by them was legit?
