I contacted Motorola today via Facebook Messager. I am thinking about getting a Project Fi Android One Moto X4 (XT1900-01), by the way the Moto X4 Amazon Model is XT1900-07, and i ask about bootloader unlocking on the XT1900-01 Project Fi/Carrier Friendly model. It took a while for a response to my Bootloader Unlock question, so i thought i would ask more knowledgable representatives from Motorola.
So, is the Android One Moto X4 XT1900-01 Bootloader Unlockable?

So does that mean the bootloader is unlockable on the X4? Motorola is telling it is not. Because if not, it's a deal breaker and I'll go with a device that is bootloader unlockable...like the G5S Plus...

I just hope that unlocking the bootloader would be done through the website like in other models like the G4 Plus or does the public have to find methods on unlocking the bootloader.

At least release official retail images of your devices like reputed Nokia, OnePlus and Xiaomi.
They launched OnePlus 5T yesterday, sale : the best, whole world talking about it and they immediately released official stock recovery and image on their website.
Still the most powerful device.
Release Moto images

You can relock.
But these Moto team doesn't have skill to upload retail official images , so that we can glass signed images and re lock.
See, the skilled development team of OnePlus, they upload every image with all update.

I'm loving my current device, a Google Pixel XL. First Android I've used with an a and b partition so development is slow. Much Confusion when recovies made their way out...

Really disappointed. No official retail images.
Skilled Xiaomi and OnePlus provides retail imsges on their phone to easily flash and re lock phone

I am a Xiaoni fan myself. I just wish they would set up shop here in the USA where we can get their devices directly or through retail stores with the device here in the states, not over seas. Not sure what the hold up is, they been in talks for years...
