I have a Moto X4 and when I woke up this morning I noticed it was not charged after being on the charger all night. I plugged it back in and still could not get a charge. So, I bought a new charger. Same issue. Now, the phone is completely dead when I plug it in I can get it to turn on in factory mode via boot menu but am not able to reset it. The charge show 0% and it says can not charge. Any ideas?

This is not typical. What did you do before this issue happens? Are you using Motorola chargers? Are you using any protective case?
Try these tips:
*Remove any case on the device, as this may impede the charger/port connection
*Verify charger being used - recommend using only approved wall charger (one that shipped with phone). Check to ensure both charger and USB cable are correct.
*The type of charger used may impact battery performance. Use a wall charger whenever possible. Vehicle Power Adaptors and USB charging via a computer will charge at slower rates.
If this is not the case since it's 0% we can no longer perform other troubleshooting steps so it's best to process a replacement here.

Hello, bought my son a new X4 about 7 months ago. Took it out of the box, it powered on, worked and updated fine. We then decided that my son would use his older phone for a while so we wouldn't have to add him to our plan. We powered the phone off and put it back in the box and placed it in a cabinet. The phone was literally on for an hour or two while it updated.
We now want him to use the new phone so we took it out of the box and plugged it in to charge - we got the white lightning symbol at first, but after several hours of charging there was no response from the phone - no indication that it charged and we cannot turn it on at all. I've held down the volume/power buttons as suggested on the forum but nothing works. I've plugged it into the computer but nothing. Anything else I can do before I send it back under warranty?
