Do you use the Motorola charger or an aftermarket one?

I almost never use the Motorola charger, and my battery is happy and powerful as if it was one day old.

No problems here. I've had my moto x4 for almost two years, most of the time plugged into my computers usb as I use my unlimited mobile data for home use and using the wifi hot-spot draws a lot of current. Never really felt comfortable with the amount of current turbocharge shoves into the poor battery. If the phone gets warm while charging it is a sign of putting excessive stress on the battery. Haven't opened this phone yet and measured anything, could be they overcharge the battery? Anyone measured end of charge battery voltage?

Edit: forgot quote and random grammatical corrections.

Hi Mohdsaalim,

Sounds like a hardware failure. If you can't boot the phone to normal mode, kindly try booting the device to fastboot mode > recovery mode > external reset. Here's the link.

Please not that this will wipe the phone's data. You may also try utilizing the LMSA tool > Rescue function. Learn more on how to use the tool on this link.

Best regards,

Hi, I have recently had this problem, went through all these posts and in spite of claiming it is solved, could not find an adequate solution. I'm not saying this is definitely the answer but I have found that turning off the adaptive battery has allowed it to charge again. Might be worth a try!

Hi Jnixxxin,

I would like to assist you. First, make sure the charger is working and it's the supplied charger for the phone. Also, I'd like to confirm, did you submit the phone to our authorized repair center?

Best regards,

I will gladly join in on any LAWSUlT. I have lost a total of 3 phones due to this issue and have only ever used the factory provided charger. Motorola is very aware of this issue, shouldn't be hard to prove to a court

Hi GreenUrb,

Sorry to know about your experience. I would like to help you. Does it totally not taking any charge? Have you tried another charger just to test this?
