Rolling back to a previous version of the operating system is not possible and is probably the easiest way to turn your phone into a brick.
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If so, what have you done?
It is unlikely that anything in the upgrade caused the problem. If any universal software had such a bug, everyone would have the same problem.

This same issue is happening to me. I am just a bit frustrated with all of these errors. How does Lenovo, etc... not try to fix such software/hardware errors on their phones that is affecting MANY people.
Seriously. I need to use my phone and not having a phone and not having it turn on is really inconvenient to doing basic tasks.
Can anyone give me any tips? My phone won't turn on. Won't charge. Nothing is helping it. I tried to do the power reset of holding power button for 20s, I tried the other way by holding volume down and power button for 2 minutes. Nothing is working and I need my phone by tomorrow in order to navigate in my car.

My X4 was working perfectly until I got the Android Pie update. I have so many issues now but the worst is the fact that the phone does not charge higher than 20% and that is when I am lucky most of the time it is stuck in 5-10% I have to keep my phone connected to power which beats the whole point of a mobile phone. Desperately need to roll back.

I have a similiar issue. I updated my phoe and while on a app it froze. When I tried to reset it(had to do it manually by holding the powere button) it will no longer turn on. It will nw not show anything on the screen. When iI plug it into the comp it shows though.Tried everything incluiding:
Hold power and volume down/up for 2+ minutes
Hold power for 2+ minutes
tested the charger with anther device
tried to use a blank flash
NOTHING IS WORKING! This has to be a bug because I see it mentioned a lot of other places

Same issue here
I sent the phone in repair and they replaced the phone and sent me back a new x4 with the same android 9!!!!
so after one day the phone died again and now I hve to send it back again!!!
It is for sure an issue with the update

After the Android 9 update, I also connected to my computer for data transfer for the 1st time.
When i charged my phone next it said USB charging instead of AC. And it wouldn't charge the phone unless I flipped the USBc around (odd since it shouldnt matter which way its in the phone). And eventually it wouldnt even do that.
I did the quick restart and it charged just fine, but the next time I went to charge the phone, it went back to the same, had to flip the USBc around. Grrr.
Glad to know it's not just my phone doing this, and hope theres a perm. fix soon. I havent tried the 120sec restart, will when the phone wont charge at all again. Thank goodness for the long battery life.

For anyone who is encountering this problem, please try to buy a new charger cable! That fixed my issue. The cable that I was using to charge was not working. Once I changed cables, it was fixed.
Although, I still do suspect there's a software bug on this phone, in the meantime, I'm just letting it be.
