Play Store Notifications

2019-02-27, 22:18 PM

A standard x4 running Pie.

I'm not seeing the progress of app updates on the notification bar like I used to when updating an app.  Downloading a new app doesn't show the progress, but does show the completion. I believe everything is setup properly.  I don't recall if this started after the upgrade to Pie or not.

I've checked all of the notification settings of the Google Play Store and the Download Manager.  They appear to be correct.  I cleared the data and storage, but it's still not working correctly.  I've booted into Safe Mode and still have the issue.

Any suggestions?

Hi this_is_nascar,

Thanks for sharing. Have you tried updating all apps at the same time? Does it show on the notification bar after some time?

No, it never shows up.  I've tried updating a single updates as well as multiple.  Still doesn't show.

After the Pie update.

If you do a Google search, there are tons of forum posts of others with the same issue. There are solutions that have worked for some, but none of the solutions I found worked for me.

Does anyone know if a factory reset corrects the issue?

Hi this_is_nascar,

Sorry for the late reply. This has been seen across Android communities. I raised this to my team and we reported this.
