Try Settings> Apps and Info> Phone> Storage and clear Data and Cache.

Then long press the power button until the the phone restarts.

For those who are curious, this is the new Android equivalent of removing the battery.

Hi NotARobot27,

Thanks for posting. Are you using the original charger that came with the device? Are you charging the device directly from a wall outlet? Have you tried using a different charger? For now, try booting the device first to Safe mode and observe. Safe mode starts the device without any third-party apps running.

To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.
Just turn off and on the phone to boot back to normal mode.

While in Safe mode, please check and observe if the same issue persists.

Best regards,

Mike

Hi MB1111,

I would just like to confirm, are you getting the same error message or the phone isn't totally charging? Are you using the supplied charger? Have you tried testing a different charger?

Best regards,

It is the supplied charger.  It was working fine one day and then the next it said "Plugged in, can't charge right now".  I also did try two different chargers and that did not work either.

I am NOT a techie and this is very frustrating.   Please help me.

Hi MB1111,

Thanks for confirming. If the phone has still enough battery charge, I would suggest doing factory data reset. Backup your important files, but it is recommended not to restore any apps/backup before checking it the phone will act the same thing. See if there's improvement. Otherwise, it is recommended to submit the device for repair.

Settings > System > Factory Data Reset.

Hope that helps.
