I'm trying to use my wife's previous Fi-purchased Moto X4 on Sprint or a Sprint MVNO. Whenever I check the IMEI with any of available tools online (Ting, Sprint, Tello, etc), it tells me it cannot be activated on Sprint. Ting reports that it is able to be used on GSM carriers.
When I contacted Fi support about this they told me that the phone is fully unlocked and able to be activated on any carrier. When I asked Sprint support about this they said that they cannot add it to their network because Motorola has it incorrectly entered in their database, effectively locking it to Fi.
I've gone through multiple rounds with support, with no resolution. I'm having a very hard time believing there isn't anything that can be done so that we can use this device on the Sprint network.
