The situation about android 9 in US is clear, unfortunately. What about Europe and z2 force retail version?

Hi acenors,

Thank you for posting. While we don't provide timing, there has been no change in the plan to deliver the Pie upgrade to the Moto Z2 Force in Europe.

Best regards,
Zeke

Correct me if I'm wrong...  Europe uses GSM, Verizon uses CDMA.  Verizon Z2F gets Pie in the USA, but GSM is "too difficult to upgrade"  - so they gave up on it for the USA.  How is it easy enough to do for Europe since they'll get it, but too hard for the USA???   Something is very fishy here!

My wife needs a new phone... and it WON'T be a Motorola. :manmad: My next phone won't be Mototola either.

The only truly stupid question is the one you SHOULD have asked - but DIDN'T.

So this is confirmation that it indeed was the carriers that pulled the pie update in the US?

I have this question too and Moto Deutchland answer my tweet: MotorolaDE tweet

But they dont tell which year. Now i ordered a OnPlus 6T.  After 8 years of Motorola phones (Atix 2, G 1st, X 1st, G2, Droid Mini, Xoom tablet, X Play, G4 Plus, Z Play, Z2 Play, X4, Z3 Play, Z2 Force) its time to move on & from now i dont recommend Motorola phones for anyone.

If that was the case, why is the unlocked version not getting Pie?

If it was the carriers that pulled the update why wouldn't Moto say so. Even the carriers point to Moto for further questions. I think Moto tried to get the carriers to pay for the update and all but verizon said, nope. Verizon not wanting their 5g mod to go useless. Or verizon are the only ones who care and threatend to take Moto to the slaughter if they didn't deliver. But considering moto's performance the last few years when the update comes you go from stoneage to ironage, if your lucky the phone still works. Moto doesn't want to update devices but only sell new ones to the hordes who still think of the Moto of old and haven't done their research.

The Android 9.0 Pie OTA update now is live for the RETEU Z2 Force. It's take some days to reach every Z2 Force.
