Clock Widget is missing the mod battery level

2018-05-30, 21:51 PM

One of my favoeite parts of the clock widget on my original Force was the fact that it showed both the phone battery level and the mode battery level in the little side panel. Very handy and convenient.

On my new Force 2, the clock widget seems to be missing the side panels and the battery level indicators along with it. Is this the way it is now, or is there a setting I'm missing?

Hi DoobieDoozIt,

Thanks for posting. Are you trying to add the widget to the home screen or to the lock screen? On the home screen kindly touch and hold the screen, you should see Widget, scroll down and look for Time and Weather you will see the clock icon just below the title, Touch and Hold the clock widget and drag it to the home screen.

Let me know how it works. Thanks.

Best regards,

The widget is there. That's not the problem. What I said was that the widget no longer has the sidce panels that show, among other things, the mod battery level. Why did you change it?

Hi DoobieDoozIt,

May I know where did you purchase the phone? The retail ones I believe didn't have the option to expand the widget to show the side panels. I think it was only available on Verizon.

Hi DoobieDoozIt,

Sorry for the confusion, I actually overlooked your post. The clock with the side panels are only available for the 1st gen of Z but we no longer have it with the 2nd gen. The one the I was comparing with before is the Z 1st. I just confirmed it with my team and check the Z2 ones we don't have those side panels with Z 2nd gen. Thank you.

Ya. Actually, with Oreo, they've killed it for gen 1, as well. Too bad. That was the best part of the widget. Almost like apple around here (or Verizon). Nothing worse than some dev in a closet somewhere deciding what's best for me.

Don't suppose as a consolation you'll give me a release date and some details for the z3 Force? ;-)
