Is there any update on a resolution for this? I have been having the same issue with my Z2 Force since day 1.

They have my logs and screenshots.  Hopefully they'll figure out the problem and fix it shortly.

I always thought this was dependent on the reciever. If the person getting your groups messages has group messaging turned off, then you won't get it as a group message. I turn it off, because I hate group messaging.

A friend texts me and 7 other people "Hey let's meet here tonight".... I say "no" and then my phones' blowing up for the next 2 hours while all these people continue to chat. LOL

Hi Tidbits808,

Thank you for the bug reports. Our engineers are analyzing and investigating.

For the 3rd party messaging app, can you please test with WiFi turned off to check if they will start working. Let us know what happens next.

Someone figured out it's a problem with the Summit RCS app.  If you disable it through ADB notifications will start working, but of course disbaling the RCS stuff will stop all the special features.  Well kind of doesn't matter if you use 3rd party SMS apps.

I have already tried with wifi on or off.  I decided to only use the stock one.

Also have a mod request.  I don't you guys need to have the notification "charges may apply" when sending something over 1mbps especially on T-Mobile.  RCS is free and they let you send up to 10MB.  I would understand if you were traveling internationally in certain countries.  If you guys are going to keep that message popping up can you please at least put a "do not show" checkbox.

So this fixes just the notification not coming through? or does it make group messaging work also? And how do you disable RCS?

All it does is allow 3rd party messages come through.  You have to use ADB in order to disable the Summit RCS component which will fix it.  To find out how you may want to check XDA.  I am unsure if I can post links to it here.

I did notice today for some reason I am sending message 4 times instead of once to certain groups, and replies come back separate still too.

this issue is really annoying, I have put my Moto up for the time being and gone back to my Huawei Mate 9.  Once there is an update available, I'll go back to the Z2 Force
