How to remove scratches from Moto z2 force

2018-05-03, 3:11 AM

Hi scratches the top part of my phone and wondering if there is any temporary fix to remove scratches from the shattershield. I don't want to waste a lot of money replacing shattershield and then I have to get a new screen protector.

Unfortunately once you get a scratch on the Z2 Force there's nothing much you can do. Good thing about the phone is that it is shatter proof but bad news is because it is a plastic, it is extremely scratch prone and you will get many of them. I just accepted the fact that the phone will get many many scratches but you can put a screen protector.

I have a screen protector on my phone but I noticed that when I search online for screen protector it doesn't fully cover the top part.

Hi djgogo059,

Thanks for posting. Just to verify the screen protector you're referring to is the shattershield right? How deep are the scratches by the way? If the scratches don't really affect the screen responsiveness I personally don't see any necessity to replace it. But to answer your question, as far as I know, we don't have any recommendation/suggestion for ways/tools/liquid solutions on how to remove the scratches.

Best regards,
Rich

Best part is it will start bubbling up and the protective plastic will start pealing so when it does just search YouTube for removal of the plastic screen. Once done it'll be fine since Lenovo won't stand behind their product like any respectable company would. Go get a Samsung it's a better product.

I got this phone for a good deal though. And I can afford a flagship Samsung.

Motorola stood behind my Z2. It was a 3 day turnaround. As far as scratches, the replacement phone seems much more durable and far less prone to deep scratches. I don't like liquid applied screen protectors, but they fit. Once in awhile I take a small amount of ultra fine polish to clear out the light scratches. Ultra fine, nothing with a cut or gritty feeling. 3M purple #3 on a microfiber applied lightly works great sparingly and rarely. You can buy a Samsung sure, but don't trash Motorola. It won't get you any help

Remove the screen protector ( carefully, use acetone to remove the adhesive, and DO NOT USE A RAZOR, USE A PLASTIC CARD, or grab the peeling and peel it slowly)

The screen protector is a $50 moneygrab, the screen underneeth cannot break either.

Put a glass screen protector over it.
