Hi dwoots,

Thanks for posting. Does it only happen with a specific contact? May I know what's your carrier?

Best regards,

My carrier is Verizon, it happens with random callers and is not consistent.

Hi dwoots,

Thanks for confirming. Can you please check if you can turn it off in the Phone app > Tap the 3 vertical dots (right top part of the screen) > Settings > Accessibility > Toggle off RTT. Let me know if that helps.

I am having the exact same issue. RTT is off and it keeps turning on by itself on all calls. It is because the screen isnt blacking out when on a call and I put it up to my face. Then somehow my cheek manages to turn it on.  This is a terrible design flaw. You should be able to 100% disable this. Have had every Z phone since they came out and never had this much problems trying to talk to someone on the phone.

Hi RxNotec,

Thanks for posting here. Can you please check if this will happen in safe mode?

To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.

Just turn off and on the phone to boot back to normal mode.

A suggestion came to look at the proximity sensor GPS diagnosis. Because the screen sometimes does not black out which is what triggers the RTT 3 dots menu option to be pressed by a cheek. The issue would be significantly resolved if the app put that button option down at the bottom of the screen vs in a location more apt to be contacted by a cheek when holding the phone.

The issue always goes away on any reboot.
