I wouldn't say this phone has "All day battery life," but I'll take the performance

2017-10-02, 18:42 PM

I'm a power user, and this is a power user phone. Not really a gripe here, just a comment: in my workflow and use case (4G LTE connectivity all day, screen off most of the time) I'm getting 7 hours of battery life. This isn't the end of the world, but I definitely wouldn't call Motorola's claim of "all day battery life" valid. That said, I calculated that battery capacity necessary for 10 hours (which I consider "all day") is 3900 mAh, which all the Moto Mods batteries cover.

Also, I could argue that the performance - which is the best of any stock ROM/device I've ever seen - makes up for it. I'd rather have speed than battery life.

TL, DR: you're definitely going to need a power bank or Moto Mod battery with this phone, it's not gonna last all day.

Mine last most of the day.  I have no complaints.  I do have 2 battery mods, 1 Tumi and 1 Moto.  The moto is a lot better because you can charge it off the phone.

I am a power user also, I destroy most phone batteries.  And I agree, the Z2 Force by itself will not last all day.  But yeah, if i put the Incipio on, it is pretty much a beast

I typically destroy batteries too but i can get a good 12 hours out of this phone. I'd say it is doing pretty good for me.

I've never had an all day phone. I don't know anyone harder on a phone then me and I can still get almost an entire day out of this phone because of that Snapdragon Processor. More then happy with that. I would have preferred a thicker -phone and bigger battery, but I do appreciate how thin this thing is. I run completely naked all the time, not even a back on it. It is one sexy phone when she's naked. :D
