Does rcs work correctly?

It should. I had gotten the August security patch and had RCS working as they had updated the apps for it. Alerts and notifications working fine on Google Messenger for me.

I got the update today as well for NCX26.7. It is a 78mb update. Going on 25 minutes now to install, and waiting for it to finish. First few minutes it froze my phone and changed my wallpaper back to default. Still waiting though. Its a long time considering the size of the file.

There are two apps that are RCS related to the phone. One is RCSServices the other is Summit RCS. You can find them in the Apps section in settings.

Both were updated in the August patch system update that was pulled by Lenovo early September. After that update both the stock message app and the Google Messenger app worked fine for me. Notifications and alerts working, and RCS worked in the stock app. But never had an issue with the stock message app.

Just got the update. T-Mobile site states security patches. So guessing it fixes KRACK & BlueBorne. But why the Security version is still August? Shame couldn't get a monthly patch bump. Says ROM kernel was made October 17th. Literally 2 weeks after the October patch (October 2nd), couldn't fit that in?

I'm patiently waiting for them to update the bug preventing Dirac sound on the Soundboost 2 from working. Next time i wont get a Tmobile phone. Got to go the unlocked route.
