Moto Z2 Force not updating beyond August 2017 Security Patch

I just bought a Moto Z2 Force and it doesn't show any updates available.

 

It's still on Android 7.1.1 and the August 2017 Security Patch (see attached screenshot).  It thinks that my device is "up to date."

 

Any way to prompt an update?  I've rebooted multiple times.  I know that newer updates have been released.

 

I tried the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant (PC app connects to phone via USB) but it said my device wasn't supported.

 

I'm running it on the T-Mobile network via the Mint Mobile carrier.

Do you use Bluetooth a lot? Do you connect to Bluetooth in your car?  Have you read the Forum posts about all the Bluetooth bugs in Android 8.0?  Are you sure you don't want to wait for Android 9 Pie, with all the Bluetooth bugs fixes?  It's just something to think about.

Yes, we have already checked that your phone is still in Android 7.1.1. You may try to contact Mint Mobile first if they can assist you with updating your phone. Since you have already tried the Lenovo Motorola Smart Assistant, we suggest sending your phone for repair by going to this link: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/mcp/service/
