... Google play does not let me install Netflix :-\

"Your device isn't compatible with this version"

Have to look how to circumvent it...

My luck i'm already done with all episodes of "The witcher" :-) Lol

ow, ok, found it - Netflix does not like free ROMs at all because of the DRM.

Ok, understandable.

However, the solution seems to be:

Re: Moto Z2 Force wifi issues after Android 9 Pie update

yep, it worked.

I've rebootet into TWRP again, installed (using adb sideload) the LineageOS "addonsu": https://download.lineageos.org/extras

(the one for am64: https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/su/20190709/addonsu-16.0-arm64-signed.zip)

to be able to get root, then rebooted the TWRP, then installed previously downloaed "magisk" ZIP directly from phone.

Then rebootet into the system "normally", started magisk, marked "hiding" for almost all Google-related Services.

Rebooted then again, searched for Netflix in google play again, refreshed the search-results and the app appearer and i could install it.

Now watching Netflix :-)

Just want to update... That after a week without reboot, my WiFi (and network in general) are still working decently. Acceptable speed and no X...

Have a nice New Year.

I've just signed in to say that I have the same wifi issue. I used to be Motorolla fan some time ago, at least 5 people bought their phones because of my recommendations. Now, I see that Moto Z2 force is the last device I buy from them ever! Lenovo, you don't care about your customers at all!! Shame on you! I will never buy anything from Lenovo/Motorolla! I will also discourage anyone from buying your devices!

Problem still exists. It's a shame how Lenovo handle it! I need to reboot my phone every day to temporarly fix the WiFi issue! Solve that f** issue.

Because of this stupid bug, my only option was to buy another phone. I have chosen Google Pixel 3a because of the price, software support, recent launch data and the fact that I'm an average Joe. I don't need much.

I'm sorry Moto, but this time I'll never buy a Motorola phone again. I owned some of them: Motorola RAZR (2004), Motorola SLVR L6 (2006), Motorola ROKR E8 (2008), Motorola Droid Razr Maxx (2012), Moto G (1. Gen. 2013), Moto X (2013), Motorola Z2 Force (2017), Motorola Moto G6 (2018), Motorola E5 (2018) and Motorola Moto G6 (2018).

Greetings from Germany!

Hey Vla1,

thanks for the instructions. Can you confim that Google Pay and other apps that rely on SafetyNet do work on Lineage? Last thing I heard back in 2018 was that itw as not possible to use them with custom ROMs. That's the only thing holding me back currently :/

@Motorola: We will soon hit the 5 month-mark since you destroyed thousands of phones. In a time where "resource exhaustion" is such a major problem killing fully working phones with a broken software update is just mind boggling. I can't find words to describe how disgusted I am by your behaviour and missing comunication in this regard.

Hi f4b1,

Regarding "Google Pay and other apps that rely on SafetyNet" - well, I never used GPay and not planning to do so atm, thus, i cannot tell you whether it will work or not.

What other apps do rely on SafetyNet?

I could install and start Google pay, it did not complained about anything & showed my last transactions in Google play market.

Magisk shows:

And the paypal app works properly.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Without your additional steps from https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z-Force/Moto-Z2-Force-wifi-issues-after-Android-9-Pie-update/m-p/4611827/highlight/true#M9632 Google Pay didn't work, but after enabling root and installing magisk everything seems to work just fine.

I owe you one and thank your very much!
