Re: Moto Z2 Force wifi issues after Android 9 Pie update

2020-02-16, 8:34 AM

This problem have been making me insane and I had almost tried everything. 3 day's ago I tried turning the Bluetooth off and my wifi has been fine after that but if I turn it on again then it will stop working.

It's not only Bluetooth related though sadly : my Bluetooth is normally off, but WiFi troubles persist since Motorola broke my phone 6 months back. Probably illegally, the imbeciles.

I hope this works for me because this has been ridiculous because I have been using my mobile data for 7 or 8 months now but it is not good not being able to use Bluetooth.

C'mon guys, you do not seriosly wait for an answer from the support, aren't you? I mean in the last 7 montns all they replied a couple of times was that "we are hardly working on this issue", which is, clearly, total bullsНiТ.

Since 7 monts not a single serious answer. It's just "time delay tactics". Probably, they just wait until the number of complaining people will reduce to zero and close this ticket due to inactivity.

Until then everyone already bought a new phone and the problem is gone.

Yeah, couple of customers will swap to Apple/Samsung/ZTE & Co, but, well, such is live. Customers come, customers go. Thats, probably the argumentation.

Thus, guys, look around, there is a plenty of not that bad phones at all beside Motorola, which has more or less bloatware-free installations.

Btw, after a couple of months using LineageOS i can tell about the experience.

Well, it looks that Motorola not only upgraded the Android image itself, but they bricked the WiFi-firmware too.

I do still have similar - not that harsh, but anyway very annoying promlems with WiFi. Still dropouts, not that often like it was with after Motorolas upgrade, yet very often. Reboot's help, but also only for a half of a day, not more.

Furthermore, the LineageOS 16 build for the Moto Z2 is not "stable" yet, and i do have misc. problems that do appear here and there.

I do not regret upgrading to LineageOS, but, however, it did not brought the expected "100%" solution.

My personal conclution - if i had a still untouched phone - find & try the "old" official builds from Moto Z2 (i've posted a link in one of my previous posts) and give it a try. Or just sell the phone on ebay and buy something another.

"Keep calm & buy new phones" :-)

Hey, its chinese (lenovo) support, remember? Better switch to some other brand. That's what I'll  do soon if they keep it up.

Dude, the support itself does not really matter.

The management decisions - they do.

And the upper manament is presented by these guys:

https://newsroom.motorolasolutions.com/executive-biographies/board-directors/

These guys are spitting in your face and decide not to invest time into bugfixes but only on "more new shiny phones, more profit, trash the old models"...

Sure, not *directly* they, some management-levels below them, but, however, THEY do meet the strategic decisions & decisions to support or abandon customers.

The decision to move on is unfortunately the only remaining option, imho...

Hi,

Teams across regions and different lines of businesses are working together on this. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I don't want to sound so promising, but at least I'd like to let everyone know that until now we are all working on this. I will let you know.

Best regards,
Rich

Agent Rich, that can't be far off a blatant corporate lie. Why, after months and months, can Motorola not at least have some integrity and apologise for their failure. Utterly disgraceful!
