Re:Moto Z2 Force wifi issues after Android 9 Pie update

2020-03-04, 9:13 AM

So, with the forum migration some February posts are missing in this thread.

@Agent_Rich said some days ago that more than a development team are investigating about our issue, still no news and no update at this time.

Some clues indicate that the problem is in the wifi firmware introduced with Android 9. I find it hard to believe that the problem is still not fixed.

I'm facing the exact same issue. Moto Z2 Force XT1789-05 Android 9 It indeed started after the update to Android 9. WiFi connection is unstable and randomly disconnects and reconnects again.

Shift into Android 10 and hope your issue will be resolved.

The Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Power may still get Android 10 update unofficially in the form of custom ROMs as there is good support for the device in the aftermarket development scene.

Hi all same problem, but in my opinion and test little help if you turn on 20/40 mode on router. But this is phone problem. On Android 7-8 before I seen same problem but on 9 pie it's sometimes terrible.

By the way all, if you give up all together on Moto and go to another, Pixel in my case, you won't be disappointed. 8 phones from you Moto, no more, and I shall continue to advise everyone I can to that effect. What you have done should be illegal and I should be refunded the money I wasted, not to mention my time. Disgraceful!
