Interesting. I also have a fritzbox, although mine is the 7590.

Wifi chipset is the Qualcomm QCA9984, I wonder if there's something specific to that.

I have a second AP, might try forcing her phone to stick to that.

Edit: assuming you mean the 7530, that uses the IPQ4019, so although it's not exactly the same chipset it's still a Qualcomm wifi set.

Hi Everyone,

I would just at least let you know this was still an ongoing topic. I still don't have information to share but I definitely will let you know as I have an update. Thanks.

Best regards,

Haha this is a big joke. Back in the thread after falling over latest notification mail from this thread, hahahaha guys... Move on. Get another phone. That Motorola Z2 force was definitely the worst phone I have ever had. Apart from the problem described in here, my Z2 force started to loose battery kapacitet big time. After having it brand new for slightly over one year.

I totally agree with you guys. Shame on Lenovo and such. But move on to another brand.

Actually I have to say that my best phone was another Motorola. X something I think. But I dropped it on asphalt after having for less than 3 months ):

But yes. When a company treats is client like this...

I am tried.

Even if they should still fix the problem (and I really don't believe that), it's obviously way too late now. The phone and support was just bad in its prime time.

I really liked the concept. Great size, not too big, reusable accessories when you switch to a new model. I really wanted to stay with the brand.

I had the Moto Z before and it broke. After they screwed up the repair 3 times, I got the Moto Z2 as a replacement after being without a working phone for 3 months. Then they break that one with the update too. It's ridiculous.

Similar experience with a Lenovo Notebook before. Needed to ship it to a repair center 3 times too to get it finally fixed, also here total time 90 days.

I have experienced a lot of bad customer support, but Lenovo (Consumer) was the worst by far.

I finally got a new phone too and moved away from Moto. It would be absolutely irresponsible to stay with the brand after what happened, signalizing the management that their decision was correct as it did not impact the sales or reputation.

I actually feel sorry for @Agent_Rich who, I really believe, is not consent with the company decision, but has to represent them here well anyway.

Any news on this? When will Lenovo tell us, that they simply don't care?

They found a solution for the same problem on other models, so I suppose they don't care or are just lazy.

It was August 21, 2019 when I started the thread, so we have no solution after 13 months.

There are simply not enough people who complain about this issue. So many months past by and this thread has under 50 pages. I subscribe to this topic and read about all new posts but it doesn't 'matter. Even though agent Rachid cares about the customers (It's his job), he's not able to change something. Probably it's just too expensive to fix this issue for a few users. In my opinion, they can't say so because of bad publicity and therefore they told us to wait for a fix which won't come.

I'm just curious and continue to read on here but I don't expect anything ....

@0x7878 , yes, maybe there are not enough people that complain, but with the time passing by there will be definitely not more, only fewer of them/us.

I'm also since September(?) 2019 watching/participating in this thread and haven't seen any reasonable help from Moto's side.

Just forget this phone and move on, buy an another brand.

Buy a pinephone, if you are a techie.

Whatever...

In december of 2019 i've upgraded to LineageOS 16 and documented it in https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z%C2%B2-Force/Moto-Z2-Force-wifi-issues-after-Android-9-Pie-update/m-p/4507556?page=27.

It did not helped, however.

Now I've read, 'think couple of pages back, that the 17.1 update should fix the issue.

I plan to upgrade in next days/weeks and will post the howto again.

Further, since I've noticed that Moto-Support censored some of my posts, must confess i do not know what they threw out of there, but it does not matter; fact is - they change/modify/censor posts.

And since i do not want to loose the v16 upgrade-howto, I've putted it here:

* https://gitlab.com/v2b1n/nash

PRs/MRs highly welcome.

As soon as i upgrade to v17 I'll also put the howto in this repo.
