Hi Tejas4m,

Thanks for posting. I'd like to help. Have you compared the sound of your 2 Z2 Force? Which app did you use in testing the sound?

Best regards,
Rich

I have a similar issue on the Sprint variant.

After I get off a call, my notifications, music, ringtones and alarms will be much quieter, to where I can hardly hear them.

I will end up turning Bluetooth off and back on, and that will fix it until the next call.

I always have Bluetooth on for my Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch, and am on latest software, and it still is happening.

Could you please find a permanent fix for this aggravating problem, because as things currently are, I can't trust my phone to wake me up in the morning.

While I have enjoyed this phone, that is a big problem for me, and I don't plan on getting another Moto if it continues.

Hi Tejas4m,

Thanks for confirming. May I know what media app are you using? Let's also try isolating the case by booting the phone into safe mode, this will help us omit some third-party apps to run in the background. You can try streaming in Youtube and playing music in Google Play Music.

To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.

Let me know if the sound is still the same.

Best regards,

Hi rootinchase,

Thanks for posting. I'd like to help. I'd like to make sure, is this intermittent or it's always happening every after call? Also, have you observed if you can replicate this with regular phone calls, VOLTE calls, and with a third-party apps calls, is there any difference? And just to confirm, are you only experiencing this while you're using Bluetooth during phone calls?

I would initially recommend testing all these while the phone is in safemode, this will help us isolate some third-party apps running in the background.

To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.

Let me know how it works.

Best regards,

I streamed the song on YouTube itself and yes I have tested playing songs in SAFE MODE also ,but the problem still remains.

Moreover I'd like to add that I don't use any sort of Bluetooth device for media streaming.

Hi Tejas4m,

Thanks for trying. If we have tested this on safemode and your Moto Z2 Force volume sound is indeed lower than the other Moto Z2 Force, then I would suggest performing full factory data reset without restoring your apps/files. This will help us determine if it's a hardware causing this issue. (To reset the phone: Settings > System > Reset > Factory Data Reset). Kindly back up your files so you won't lose them. If the issue persist, the phone needs a repair, it could be the speaker itself is faulty.
