I spoke with a customer service representative at Motorola today and they requested that I ship my phone back and they would replace my Shatter-Shield or replace my phone at no cost. All in told it took less than 24 hours after contacting Motorola for them to resolve the issue.

This helped me too

I called and they said 25$ and they would have my phone for an non identified amount of time. It's their fault my phone is screwy and being a student I don't have the money to buy a replacement while this one is getting fixed. And I always need a phone just to get along my day.

All phone manufacturers require that you send your phone to them for repair.  They don't just send you a brand new phone on the good-will chance you will send yours to them as promised.  It's always a good idea to keep one older phone around as a backup for these type of situations, to get you by while your daily phone is repaired.

Incorrect. Many times you can provide a credit card number that will be charged if you do not return the phone within a specified timeframe. They ship you a replacement, you activate it, send back your old phone

Motorola provides that service also, all you have to do is select it when generating the service request.
