Speaker extremely quiet after call ends

2018-11-21, 8:30 AM

The Setup:

I have a Moto Z2 Force (Sprint) on the latest firmware and a Samsung Gear S3 Smartwatch paired with it all the time.

The Problem:

Someone will call me and no matter how I handle the call, (Bluetooth, Headset, Earpiece, or Speakerphone), once I get off the phone, all sounds are extremely quiet, even when Android says that I have them at full volume.

This affects:

Notifications

Media

Ringtones

Alarms

A Temporary Solution:

If i turn Bluetooth off, and back on again, it'll go to full volume. That will work even if I'm playing music while I do that.

The Impact:

I no longer trust my phone and am strongly considering switching devices to a non Motorola device.

Please fix this, and don't suggest a fix of: "Don't use that watch with your phone" (My solution then would be to get a non-Moto device)

I've been tolerating this for months and enough is enough, this needs fixed.

Hi rootinchase,

Thanks for posting. Please do not start new threads with existing thread/s on the same topic. It causes clutter on the site and makes it harder for us to follow an issue. I've seen posted on this thread https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-Z-Force/Moto-Z2-force-speaker-volume-lowered/m-p/4276667#M6757 already. We can use that thread to assist you. Thanks.

Closing thread.

Best regards,
Rich
