Also use an internet browser on a computer instead of the Android app just go to the routers IP address (usually 193.168.0.1) or on windows open a file browser click Network on the side panel and right click on the device and go to devices webpage

Re: WiFi Issues Z2 Force (Verizion)

Hello, I'd like to report another wifi AP that is exhibiting this problem. We are seeing it on 2 different wifi APs on 2 different phones (same model AP and phone for both), which neither AP did/does this with other model phones or computers.

Phone: Moto Z2 Force (Verizon)

AP: Ubiquiti Unifi AP-AC-PRO

Bands: 2.4 & 5 (same SSID)

I'm not at home so I can't give a screenshot of the site survey right now but the 5ghz band is pretty much wide open on mine. It got better once I upgraded to the newest firmware (unifi controller 5.5) but still doing it.

On a 5ghz Wireless N EnGenius AP I do not see the problem at all. I've also connected to various public wifis and for the most part it has not done it, but at some hotels it did.

Here is another bug report, https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1DLWdM1VwabOHNBUWRhbkJ4OUk . Also, I posed this issue over on the Google wifi forum. This is what they said, https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/googlewifi/UOgjoAgPHUI;context-place=forum/googlewifi .

add me to the list of disappointed...

new z2 play here with same issues.  constantly dropping 2.4 and won't even connect to 5ghz.  10+ other devices in the home working without issue.  linksys wrt1900, latest drivers, wpa personal only, wifi reset, blah, blah, blah, nothings worked.

still within return period so its going back for a different make and model.  wanted to love it but i don't have time to deal with basic functionality issues.

I second Sparkly1124's update suggestion. I just updated to NDX26.183-15 and all my 5GHz WiFi issues with specific access points went away (see other posts). Now I have solid WiFi performance.

Nope, the update didn't fix my issue either.

To my surprise this update DID seem to make things better!! Some things like signal strength and Mbps are still lower than older devices we have, but if wifi isn't slowing down and dropping I'm pretty happy! First time since the original Droid I thought I would have to get something other than Moto. Very happy that won't be there case. THANK YOU!!
