Did a factory reset. WiFi stays connected now, but no internet access for most things. No play music or YouTube, but can install app.

Just got my 2nd Moto Z2 Force via TMO.  Had this issue with the first one and Google recommended me exchanging it for another unit which I just did today.  Same issues.  Connects to main unit but drops off if I wander the house connecting to other mesh units.  New phone is downloading NCX26.7 as I type this.  Will see if this fixes the issue.  We are using the Google WIFI 3piece and my wife uses the Moto X4, my 2 boys have the original Moto Z Play, and now I have this Moto Z2 Force.  Mine is the only one having issues.

Nope, did not work.  This is a device problem.  I dont think it has anything to do with the carriers.  I get that we can adjust settings on our router but we shouldnt have to.  Do whatever firmware/software you do for your Moto x4 and this would be resolved.  This is rediculous.  Dont know why I keep buying Moto phones. :/

if you still need to capture logs, I have a MacBook Pro on the network, and have a 5-day-old z2 with identical issues described.   Please advise / forward instructions.    -Scott

Ok here is my solution to the WIFI issue disconnecting.. On your router, change the IP Address from IPV6 to IPV4. That should solve the issue with the disconnecting. At least it worked for me. Seems like a IPV6 Issue on the phone.

Are you using the Google WiFi mesh system? That seems to be the major issue.

Google WiFi Mesh here. Disabling IPv6 seems to help me stay connected, but I'm still not getting steady internet access. All other 16 devices are not having issues.

I have the Google mesh network as well, and while I have had issues with it I can honestly say that the WiFi issues are not souly a mesh issue.  I have had issues staying connected to my Enterprise WiFi at work too.  In short I believe the problem to be with a disfunctional WiFi antenna either all the way around or in just a select batch of phones.

Scott,

Yes, I still need logs. I'll send you a PM with the details and steps.

Thanks

Tom
