Incase if you had performed above steps and found it is not worthy of doing it or at point you consider yourself tired of doing it then just go to a sevices centre and ask for battery replacement and make sure you keep an eye on it while they are doing it if it's not a reputed service centre.

 

I think Lenovo had shipped some cheap faulty Chinese battery into the phone without testing them for cost cutting or some experimental purposes.

Hi there, I see I am not alone on this. I have the same issue since a couple of days and I have already tried some of the solutions posted here (e.g. battery calibration), unsuccessfully. Do you have any hints on how to fix this problem ? I could update my profile and let you guys have a look at my mobile, before I send it back. I bought it at the end of October 2017.

Hey there,

the third trial was succesfull. 

I left the phone charging all night long; since then, the mobile phone went back to its normal performance.

I will go some charge-complete discharge cycle to check if everything is ok.

Hi Madfede,

 

Thanks for trying some steps here. I appreciate it. I would recommend doing a complete factory data reset first and have the phone observed without any third-party apps installed, and see if there's any improvement with the battery. To reset the phone: Settings > System > Reset > Factory Reset. Back up your files so won't lose if you have important files. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

that means your phone is not going to sleep/doze mode. maybe you've disabled some app like motocare and motoint, allow apps for usages access.

Thanks for posting here. May I know what troubleshooting steps you've tried, so just we can omit doing it again. Also, please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

My Moto Z2 Play is consuming the majority of my battery very quickly.......like 90% in less than 6 hrs. I have had this phone for almost a year and this has just started occuring. Ive checked apps and removed my Avast security App but now it has an " Android" icon showing using the most battery....it has " 10177" next to the Icon.

Any idea what this is??
