Re: turn off haptic feedback fingerprint sensor

2018-05-03, 12:57 PM
i'm just trying to do the command in adb. but i'm not sure where i need to do it.

I have connected my phone to my laptop and turned adb debugging on.
Installed lenovo moto smart assistant on my laptop
and in the terminal i go to the folder with adb and give the command: "adb cmd appops set android VIBRATE ignore"
But nothing happens, what am I doing wrong?

The noise wakes up my spouse. We should at least be able to turn it off if we have notifications off. The phone is amazing EXCEPT for this big annoyance.

hi, i really enjoy using the Moto Z2 Play, and want to use the fingerprint sensor for one-button nav as well. But i really dislike the haptic feedback the fingerprint sensor has. Why does it have it? Is it meant as proof that the sensor works? cause that gives me the idea that motorolla doesn't expect it to work all the time, while for me it works every single time.

Also the feedback is very loud in a quiet environment and it startles me every time i touch it.

Please give us an option to turn this off. There is no need to be insecure on the sensor's quality and proof to the user that it works with a stupid haptic feedback.

Hi Syds

There is currently no way to turn vibration off for the fingerprint scanner. The phone will vibrate once when it unlocks successfully, and twice if the unlock attempt is not successful. This provides non-visual, haptic feedback which we think is important for something you can do without looking at the phone. I will, however, be sure to pass your feedback along.

Regards,
Ella

Hello,

I cannot find this option. The system is updated.

Update: I have found it under "learn more".
