Bootloader unlock code requirement

Since I own this Moto XT 1650-02 device and am not using it on Verizon Wireless because I'm outside the US, I would like to require a bootloader unlock code since Motorola -Lenovo nor Verizon will update this device anymore. I have issues with some apps because I can not update Android 8.0.0, so I kindly ask for a bootloader unlock code for my device.

Hi there. I have the same issue with Moto Z XT1650-01. I purchased a replacement motherboard from Aliexpress for a broken phone I had. It arrived and works but is also bootloader locked with Verizon software. I am however in South Africa. There are a few niggles when dialing and usinng the local network. I have tried the Motorola website to attempt getting an unlock code but received the "device does not qualify" reply. Is there a way to request an unlock code by alternative means? Thanks in advance
