Re: Gamepad mod Battery issue

2019-05-16, 9:25 AM

Anything new or anyone tried to open it up to see wether it is a software or hardware related bug/WAD (Working As Designed).

If it cant be used to power the phone, it should at least put decent power passed through to the phone itself. How about that?

Re: Gamepad mod Battery issue

I think it is pretty clear what the problem is. It is stated in original post, confirmed by several people and described in the post title. It seems to me thwt the only thing you want is fake attention but don't have any interest in providing any real help.

Phone battery is not charged by gamepad battery. Gamepad battery is just there, without use. Even gamepad LEDs are powered from phones battery.

Either a firmware or a hardware problem, this is an issue that should be at least recognized by Motorola. Maybe open source the mod firmware or give an official statement on the matter.

This can be a very REAL reason to initiate a lawsuit for false marketing. All ads statedtthat the gamepad's battery would add up to 8 hours of gameplay to the phone, which is a lie.

Hopefully you will finally provide an official response months after the creation of this post and years after the launch of the product.

Unfortunately the Gamepad was a big disappointment. I almost don't use the device. You can't play a good game far from a power source. Or your smartphone will stay without juice very soon. The main ideia was use the Gamepad battery to have enough power to play far from home without deplete the smarphone battery. And I very certain that it was a promisse of Motorola when the device was lanched.

I'd have to say no if it's been 3 years...

Lenovo in a nutshell.
Sad, but true.
