It's called times change. Nothing is forever. I've had lots of things change on my phones over the years... Remember slide out keyboards, replaceable batteries and separate head phone plug in jacks?

If they were lazy nothing would ever change. Let's get real and not make comments that hold in water.

Here is a screen shot of my Moto  Z Droid with command center app, running Android 8.0. I have the same app running on my Moto Z2 Force.

I like showing both batteries in the right circle.

When I bought my Moto Z2 a few months ago, the phone upgraded to 8.0 just after activation and I lost the left and right circles. I searched and found a file, I can't find a link for it now but I tried to upload the my link to the file and got slapped by a Admin because I didn't read the rules. I have the file on my Google Drive, there are no ads, its a clean app as far as I know. If you PM me I'll send you a link, If I'm not breaking the rules.

the name of the app is Circle_Clock_Widget_v3dpi110.apk

if you would like to search for the app yourself.

After you install the app, it will be listed in your wigets as Command Center

Sadly you can't post links since we don't know if it will have any negative effects on a phone. But what you do in private messages is not in the public. But of course we have to warn everyone about downloading anything that's not from the play store and made for your phone.

thats ok. I've been running it on both my Moto Z and Z2 Force running 8.0 and seems to be running ok. the only permissions the app asks for is location.

Dear customer ,

Times have changes, we no longer care enough to support our products once you buy them. because profit  is the only thing we really care about since its more profitable to ditch after purchase support and dumb Americans will keep buying them even if you treat them like dirt . So go buy a new phone and shut up .

Excuse me I'm sorry they work very hard at squeezing every cent out of the consumer as possible without breaking the law .

I'm not happy about losing the Command Center widget either, I liked it and used it a lot.  But I am getting used to the new Time & Weather widget.  Did they change it with Oreo?  Yes.  Is it really that terrible, did they steal somethjing from us?  I look at it as the glass is half full.  We did lose the Command Center but we gained the newly updated Launcher 3 like the Z2 Play & Z2 Force.  We did gain some new Launcher functionality, isn't that at least a good thing?

I'm American and I'm not dumb. I did go to school and understand grammar as well. All this over an app really... They will never go back to the app. You must move on and find another app, but what good is another new phone if it too will not have the app you want so bad? How are you making a statement like this that makes little sense? The new phone will not have an old app...

Thank you to TwoBuells1 for sending this apk to me via PM. I independently searched for this widget and found a couple of different versions over at XDA-developers but neither of them worked - after I installed them they were not displayed in my list of widgets.

As soon as I installed this version it immediately appeared. Again a big THANK YOU to TwoBuells1.

I've uploaded the apk at the Android Central Moto Z Force forum at forums.androidcentral.com.  If you go there you will find the apk for download.

What display settings did you go with to make it format correctly?
