Hello Sajokaz, I would also like to request that the command center widget be available for download from the play store. I lost this widget after upgrading to Oreo 8.0.

Unfortunately there is no way to downgrade.  Android doesn't offer that functionality.

Sadly, Motorola has not made the app compatible with Oreo it seems and no one knows if it ever will be.

Guys, READ the entire thread. You can get a compatible Nougat Command Center with the side circles and dual battery levels that will run fine on Oreo.

I doesn't "run fine" - it won't scale correctly and the sides are truncated. The app needs to be recompiled for Oreo.

@Peptide,

Dude, get a clue. Lenova fired HALF of the Moto staff in the spring and have made it very clear that software and app development is restricted to mission critical tasks on current phones. Don't hold your breath for a native Oreo designed Command Center for an obsolete phone.

So you have some choices, you can certainly sit here and pout about it, or threaten lawsuits like some do, or you can find the best bandaid you can and move on with your life.

Again for the others, there is a work around to get the Command Center back on Oreo. It's not perfect but if you set the display to Large, it renders very well, and absolutely does the job with the stock launcher.

I have a clue, by virtue of having been in the software industry for 25 years. I don't care whether or not Lenovo halved or tripled its development staff, and I doubt that 99% of buyers aren't Googling for a root-cause as to why this happened - it's not the user's problem.

Not pouting - I was trying to use this forum as a means of relating my displeasure about this disregard for usablity.

And I am using a "bandaid"...but why should I (or anyone else) have to? Why should I have to spend $1K+ on a phone ecosystem, and then have to find a work-around? In purely practical terms, this reflects poorly on the Moto-Mod initiative and shows that no-one quality-controlled this with a battery-pack on, or cared about the result.

I have hobby apps on my phones that accomodated the upgrade better than this $45B company has and, while you may choose to shill for them, I will not. This was totally preventible, is easily fixed, and I'm going to continue to point this out until it's fixed or I toss my Moto gear.
