Re: Moto Z Force Bluetooth not working

2017-07-18, 6:18 AM

I've got a new Moto Z on la st Saturday morning and the Bluetooth was working fine. In the afternoon I've update the phone (n.6 updates without restoring my account and apps). At this point the bluetooth was not working anymore, so, the day after, I've gone again to the shop: they have tried many tricks but the bluetooth was not working so they have given to me a new Moto Z and they have tried the bluetooth with my periphiricals and the speaker they had at shop. Everything was ok at that point: the bluetooth was working well. When at home, I've done the updates (the same as saturday n.6 to arrive to Android 7) without restore my account and apps, just the updates. At the end of updates I've tried again the bluetooth and It was not woking anymore. This means only one thing: AFTER THE UPDATE THE BLUETOOTH IS NOT WORKING ANYMORE there is no other explanation. I've tried all the tricks readed on line but none of them worked with my phone. I like this phone so I've decided to keep it and wait an update from Lenovo because it's so clear that it's just an update problem. Sorry for my poor english!

Is it that hard to fix an issue that many users are facing? I have tried everything, cannot make Bluetooth work again, really disappointed what ex-motorola support has become... Stop the newest update if you cannot fix the current one...

Hi there

I have been with Motorola since the bag phone. This is the real first problem for me.the blue tooth not turning on with start of the phone. plus the constant disconnects and reconnects. I have all the mods but my Bluetooth is the most important. Because that's a lot in Colorado will you have to use a hands-free device in your car. I just want to know if you're going to fix it. Or do I need to say goodbye Moto. I've been on the phone with Verizon 4 hours trying to fix this then everything from a factory reset to empty my cache to getting a replacement phone. Please tell me you have answers coming soon. I don't care for Samsung but their **bleep** work.

Your truely

Very upset customer

Same problem- no bluetooth with my Moto Z Force.  It updated to 7.0 and within a day or so there was no longer a connection with anything.  I followed all the steps- unpaired everything.  no luck- it wouldn't find anything to repair.  Cleared the cache.  nothing.  Went to Verizon and was told it is a software issue.  So as a last resort which did not make me happy I ultimately reset the factory settings and yet again- nothing!  I've had the phone 6 months.  My next step is to request a new phone I guess- but why isn't this fixed?!?!  It's obviously a problem!!

Hi Bathang,

Since you just updated your device to the latest version, I suggest doing clear cache partition and see if that works.

Re: Moto Z Force Bluetooth not working

Hey guys,

I had the Bluetooth problem for about 4 weeks. My Phone (Moto Z) is now three months old. After performing a factory-reset, the same issue remained. I wrote the Lenovo Support and told them about my problems and they gave the same advice as they did here in the form: to switch off Bluetooth Scanning. That actually worked better than expected and I had at least a sluggish BT-Connection for the last few days. Today Lenovo rolled out the Android 7.1.1. in Germany and I was full of anticipation that this time- with the new major update- all the Bluetooth problems were history. However, now after the update I cannot even connect to anything anymore. Anyone else with this problem under 7.1.1 ?

Also having this problem, anyone having luck with the NCL26.118-23 OTA update? For me, the problem still persists after the update.

As mentioned before,

If you did a factory data reset and tested BEFORE installing or restoring ANY apps, and problem persists, then service/repair/replace is next step.

An update will not fix the issue of BT not turning on, if a reset didn't fix it.

What is the problem then,

A faulty/corrupt driver that cannot re-install ?

A faulty hardware ?

Can't be that (hardware), so many people with the same issue (unless they use very cheap parts)

Why can't Motorola investigate and fix... don't they have acces to our bug report (if we activated it)

They seem pretty quiet on that subject.

We really need a professionnal to help us investigate.

Maybe  motorola knew the flaw and left us with it...

Wonder if anyone with a rooted phone have this issue
