Re: Moto Z Force - Quick Charge 3.0?

Tronsmart car charger model C2P does have USB Power Delivery port (along with a normal one) with full 30W power.

The female port is a micro USB 3.1, not a full size USB port. So male-male micro USB 3.1 cable (both sides) is needed.

Warning: Tronsmart isn't making any friends in Google's engineering department...

Also, I had a Tronsmart charger with a failed port with no explanation. As much as I'm happy to finally see a USB-PD car charger, I'm staying away from this company.

jesta192, thanks for the information. My past experience was good, although.

I used a QC 2.0 Tronsmart charger with my old Moto X 2gen with no problem for more than one year.

My wife used hers until we got Zs and I don't think she had any problems. But I've seen those engineers saying negative things about Tronsmart before so I'm now leery of them.

I agree with you. The tests that had been made, showed on the Google+ article you sent, are very impressive and deep techinical.

I love this! :-)

See, the problem with that answer is that means there is one and only one charger -- and not even a car charger -- that we can use to get the fast charging times that most other phones can get with the myriad 3rd-party high speed chargers available now.

I have a Moto X Pure, and it works just great with the QC 2.0 charger I bought. It's absurd that my new Moto Z gives me that ridiculous message every time i plug it into something not permanently next to my bed: Use the charger that came with your phone for fastest charging times.

LAME!!!

Agreed, Moto is WAYYY overdue for a TurboPower Car Charger!

I've been using this one with decent results (3A): http://www.frys.com/product/8826742. Still not 30W though...

The Moto Z does not use anything even remotely resembling a standard. Turbo 30 uses 5V and almost 6A and USB C PD, QC 2.0, QC 3.0 all stop at 3A when staying at 5V. It's completely proprietary.
